Често задавани въпроси (FAQ)

What is Paverpol?

Paverpol is a textile hardener. Paverpol offers you endless possibilities to shape your creativity.

Use

Dip a piece of textile in the Paverpol. Wrap this around a sturdy frame or wire figure and let it dry. Paverpol dries quickly. Optionally, you can use a hair dryer to speed up the drying process. When it is dried up, you have a beautiful decoration or statue. This is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Of course you can also work with it on a canvas. The choice is yours!

Natural materials

Paverpol adheres to all natural materials. You can use everything, such as wool, cotton, wood, leather, paper, silk, self-hardening clay, styrofoam, dried flowers, wood, plaster and pottery. It makes these materials totally stiff.

Unique properties

Paverpol hardens without additives. We recommend that objects that are to be placed outside be allowed to harden thoroughly for 2-3 weeks. Then you can paint them and place them outside. The materials that you harden with Paverpol can be placed in your garden all year round, regardless of precipitation or temperature. We do advise to apply two layers of Josefine varnish. In this way you prevent your artwork from turning white in high humidity. Please note that Paverpol in liquid form should not be frozen. After use, you can simply wash your hands and tools with warm water. Natural materials soaked in Paverpol are fire-retardant.

Various colors and sizes

Paverpol is available in the colors transparent, black, bronze, light peach and lead color in 500 grams, 1000 grams and 5750 grams of pots and buckets. Paverpol transparent and bronze is also available in a 250 ml bottle with droplet. This is especially for fine work, such as the bonding of beads for necklaces and earrings, which must be glued to be waterproof. The bottles are also ideal for scrapbooking and glueing doll clothes.

To combine

Use Paverpol also in combination with other Paverpol products, such as Paverplast, Pavercolor, Wrappers, Stockinette, Relief Decoration, Art Stone, Pavercotton, Josefine varnish, Paversand or Paverscrub.

Working with Paverplast

Working with Paverplast

By mixing Paverpol with Paverplast, you make a plaster with which you can create a fully water-tight, weather-durable layer on your sculptures of polystyrene, plaster and self-hardening clay.

Use

Mix Paverplast powder with Paverpol (100 grams Paverplast on 500 gram Paverpol) into a thick plaster (such as peanut butter). So now you do not work with Paverpol, in which you drench your textiles but with a homemade plaster that you apply on your surface, for example with a spatula. Apply a layer of 1 to 2 mm. You can apply various layers after drying to make the whole statue extra strong. If you want a smooth surface, dip your finger in water and wipe gently over the still wet surface. Varnishing is not necessary.

Materials

A Paverplast plaster is suitable to make your pieces permanently water-resistant such as bird drinkers, fountains and ponds. With this plaster you also give statues of styrofoam (isomo), gypsum, self-hardening clay, ecoshape, papier maché a completely waterproof coating.

Various sizes

Paverplast is available in pots of 100 and 400 grams. To combine Paverplast mixed with Paverpol can be colored with Pavercolor. The Paverpol with Paverplast is strong enough to be put outside. If you have painted it, we advise you to apply a layer of Josefine varnish to protect the colors from the sun's UV rays. The colours remain bright.

Storage

The Paverplast plaster dries in the air. You can store the plaster in an airtight lockable container. If the Paverplast plaster becomes too tough, add a little Paverpol. Do not use water to dilute. Paverplast paste is also an excellent outer-resistant adhesive.

Working with Paversand

Working with Paversand

Paversand is a unique product that, unlike the name suggests, does not consist of sand but resembles sand.

Use

Mix 100 grs. Art Stone or Paverplast with approximately 500 grs. Paverpol. Then add the Paversand little by little, so that you can determine the thickness of the paste. The more Paversand you add, the coarser the structure. You can apply the paste with fingers or spatula to the workpiece. When drying beautiful bursts will appaer.

Paversand can be applied to Paverpol works/statues made with aluminum foil and covered with masking tape. The paste also attaches to a variety of other materials such as wood, glass, pottery and sturdy cardboard.

Various sizes and types

Paversand is available in 1.000 grs. jars, in two colors and variations: Paversand white/stone hard and black/coarse.

To combine

Paversand can be used in combination with Paverpol and Art Stone or Paverplast. This creates a clay with attractive deep cracks and fissures or a clay that quickly dries up to rock hard. The possibilities with Paversand are endless, and yours to discover!

Working with Art Stone

Working with Art Stone

Art Stone can be used in different ways. By mixing it with Paverpol you make a self-hardening clay. But you can also use the powder to give statues an appearance of stone.

Use

For the stone effect, use Paverpol lead color. Of course you can also mix other Pavercolors.
Mix the colored Paverpol with as much Art Stone until you get a clay that no longer sticks to your hands. Apply a layer of Paverpol on your  work. You now can apply all or a part of the clay on the Paverpol that is still wetr. Thick or thin, coarse or fine, just what you like. Make sure that the Paverpol on your artwork is not dry. If so, apply a layer of Paverpol again with the brush. If your workpiece is decorated with the clay , sprinkle a little powder over it and rub it well. If the surface has become too dry, apply some Paverpol with the brush. You can also sprinkle and rub some powder in the wet layer of Paverpol.

This stone effect is not suitable for outdoor use. If you want to place the workpiece outside, use a patina instead of powder that you make by mixing Pavercolor white with Josefine matt varnish. You apply this with the brush. With a piece of kitchen paper you wipe away the excess of patina. Let the workpiece dry and rub with a non-fluffy cloth.
Making jewelery is also a possibility: form pebbles of clay , punctur holes with a skewer, string lacing of leather through them.

Materials

You can work on a pre-formed figure of styrofoam, gypsum, ecoshape, or aluminum foil (cover the film with painting tape).

Various sizes

Art Stone is available in pots of 300 and 1250 grams.

To combine

You can combine Art Stone with Paverpol, Pavercolor, Paverplast and Paversand.

Working with Wrappers

Working with Wrappers

Wrappers are stretchable pieces of cloth. You can wrap them round a wire frame in order to make a Paverpol statue or use them to decorate your Paverpol statue.

Use

Cut the Wrappers into 4 equal strips cutted in the direction of the stretch. Use a brush to apply a layer of Paverpol on the wire frame wrapped in tin foil. Wrap the a piece of Wrapper as tightly and seamlessly as possible around the entire frame. Apply a layer of Paverpol. After drying, a layer of Paverplast plasture can be applied. This is a mixture of Paverpol and Paverplast powder. In this way a sturdy and smooth frame can be made.

Sizes

There are 100 Wrappers in a box.

Decoration

Wrappers can also be used to decorate Paverpol statues. They are ideal for hats and headscarves. Dip the entire Wrapper in Paverpol. Squeeze it and apply it carefully, because it can tear. Other works such as paintings, panels, photo frames, boxes can also be decorated with Wrappers.
